Andre Graham is well-versed in serving communities, having been a Minister of Music for more than twenty years, utilizing his musical talents to support the well-being of young people through numerous outreach programs. In his capacities as an educator, music producer, and composer, Andre has uplifted youth in underserved communities, and has donated hundreds of hours to humanitarian efforts. ASH is fortunate to have an experienced and compassionate person at the helm of its Community Involvement Committee.
Tenishia Toussiant is George Floyd's cousin. An accomplished singer, she uses her incredible vocal talent to support social justice outreach. Her passionate heart and strong work ethic combine to touch the souls of communities, encouraging participation and engagement.

Stephen Davis and Love Sessoms were awarded the Humanitarian Platinum Leadership Award by the Institute of Public Policy and Diplomacy Research, a global independent registered charity, for their humanitarian efforts. The ceremony was held at the Delegates Dining Room of the United Nations (July 20, 2023).
At services celebrating ASH’s beloved photographer, Kevin Thorbourne, A Soulful Heart announced the establishment of the Kevin Thorbourne Scholarship which will be awarded to a high school senior pursuing arts or social justice. The concert at Town Hall honored the legendary Ms. Melba Moore, who also performed. Additional honorees included Broadway powerhouse Irene Gandy; jazz vocalist Rome Neal; multi-platinum album hip-hop artists AB Money and JR [RIF]; Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of the New York Amsterdam News, Elinor Ruth Tatum; Bishop James Pullins, Jr. (Church of God In Christ); and Rev. Clinton Miller (Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Brooklyn).
The stellar performer line-up included gospel artists Karen Clark-Sheard, Pastor Kim Burrell, and Jessica Reedy; vocalist Tenishia Toussaint; jazz virtuoso Bobby Sanabria and his band; hip-hop artists AB Money and JR [Rapping Is Fundamental]; funk/rock/hip-hop/soul band Juggernaut War Party; neo-soul singer Marc Hughes Music; folk artists Judy Gorman, and Mike & Aleksi Glick; author/poet Nan O’Brien; and students from the Paul Robeson Freedom School and The Repertory Company High School for Theatre Arts.
Special guest appearances were made by Terrence Floyd, George Floyd’s brother; Floyd Family members; and families of violence victims, Adaisha Miller and Jamal Sutherland.
This wonderful evening supported A Soulful Heart’s ambitious goals of developing, implementing, and integrating social justice educational programs for elementary through university level programs; creating community social justice resources and programs; and providing scholarships for students pursuing social justice and civil rights degrees. Long-term goals of the non-profit organization include the establishment of the George Floyd, Jr. International Center For Social Justice in Washington, D.C.

The speakers at the discussion forum included Terrence Floyd, George Floyd's brother; Sharone Salaam, the mother of Yusef Salaam, an exonerated Central Park 5 defendant; esteemed civil rights attorney, Gregory Yates; Love Sessoms, Co-founder and Executive Board Member of A Soulful Heart; Nan O'Brien, A Soulful Heart Executive Board Member; community and political activist, and host of WBAI's From The Streets With Bob Law, Bro. Bob Law; and Rodney "Radio Rahim" Dean, founder of the Paul Robeson Freedom School.
